Our goal is to provide a safe haven where these young individuals can heal and thrive. Through dedicated support and structured programs, we empower them to rebuild their lives with confidence and resilience. Semi-Independent Living Services

Our temporary housing provides a supportive environment for adolescents ages 14-21 navigating reunification or emancipation. We offer a safe haven where they can stabilize and plan their next steps with guidance. Our focus is on empowering these youth towards independence while ensuring their immediate needs are met. Through personalized support and resources, we aim to facilitate a smooth transition towards a secure and self-sufficient future.

Independent Living Services

Offered for all youth in foster care ages 18-21, the goal of the Independent Living program is to help youth make the transition from foster care to self-sufficiency. Through collaboration with community agencies, we provide support services which include independent living skills classes, education, vocation and career planning.
Youth participate in the Ansell-Casey assessment tool that assesses their educational status, job readiness, social development, money management, and daily living skills. This assessment informs a youth-driven plan that assists youth in obtaining goals they have set to move towards self-sufficiency, while a team of people support youth in their efforts to achieve their goals. The team consists of parents, foster parents, Caseworker, CASA, GAL, Therapist, Permanency and IL staff.

The team consists of parents, foster parents, Caseworker, CASA, GAL, Therapist, Permanency and IL staff.

Additionally, the program provides assistance to youth formerly in foster care who have attained the age of 18 years while in foster care but who have not reached the age of 21. through a partnership with Resilient Youths and Bridges Programs through the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services.
Resilient Youths and partnering agencies will focus on assisting former foster youth to attain economic self-sufficiency by providing goods and services such as job training, housing assistance and educational assistance.

Each resident and family is made aware that our interest and concern extends past the discharge date and they may contact the agency anytime for assistance.

Resilient Youths will lead and coordinate aftercare services for a period of 6 months after a resident is discharged to a family-based setting. Aftercare services will be individualized and driven by the youth, the caregivers, and the family as appropriate. Aftercare services will be provided within the child’s and/or family’s community to promote the continuity of care for the child. To support engagement, reengagement or re-evaluate family needs, attempt to have monthly contact with the child and caregivers. Monthly contact may be via email, telephone, virtual conference, or face-to-face meetings.

Referrals Are Accepted From Various Sources

Requests for admission may be made by telephone or e-mail. In some cases, an interview may be necessary. An admission date can be scheduled at the time of admission notification. Referrals are taken from the Ohio Department of Child Services, Juvenile Probation and other organizations.
